If you look very closely you can see the little mounds of lavender all covered in a blanket of snow. With our negative temperatures here this past weekend, we are hoping that this lovely snow will provide enough insulation to keep from killing off our plants. Not only does the snow provide insulation, it will provide much needed moisture when it melts. We realize that "moist" is a word that many people don't like, but for us here in Colorado, it's part of a favorite and any time there is any kind of precipitation all we hear is "moisture" for our soil. For those of you who are sick of the snow this winter, I get it, but we'd be happy to take it off your hands. Try going without for a season and you will quickly realize how valuable a commodity it really is!
