These are the people who roll up their sleeves at Dutch Ridge Ranch on a regular basis.  Lesha and Tim are the owners/operators of the ranch and oversee the day to day happenings that take place there.  Patti is Lesha's mom and is always ready to jump in and lend a hand wherever one is needed - even in the hives.

We fell in love with this virgin piece of property in Livermore, Colorado the first time we saw it in 2013.  We initially just wanted a place to get away from it all with family and friends.  Once the property was purchased we started imagining what it could become.

It started with a camper and an outhouse.  It quickly progressed to the building of a small cabin, planting lavender fields surrounding it (because it was Lesha's dream to grow lavender on a large scale and that's where the water was) and ordering several bee hives.  The barn was finished in 2017 and is where the lavender is dried and processed.  In the past four seasons we have continued to increase the number of lavender beds and bee hives on the property.

Lesha's love of lavender began in 2008 after attending a lavender festival in Sequim, Washington.  Visiting the different farms, walking knee deep through rows and rows of many different varieties of lavenders, tasting all of the delicious concoctions that can be made from the buds.  But I digress...

Growing lavender takes time under normal conditions, it takes even more time in the rugged environment that we chose for them.  It has been a steep learning curve both with the lavender and the bees.  However, we have been blessed to have had the help of many friends and family along the way.  We are happy that we are finally able to begin production on a long awaited product line.

We look forward to sharing this journey with you.

Fondly, Lesha & Tim
